I have two pictures for Day Twenty-Three. Decision paralyses. Picture is: Sketch artist interrupted. Young admiration. Encouragement and excitement. Picture is: Gossip girls. Perhaps a weekly lunch ritual. Sunny side table at The Met. Reserved. (Can’t you just hear them? “And her grandson wears baggy pants…”)

This week’s Hump Day Hunk is Jon Hamm. Because of this: But also because of this: “I was raised by a single mother. I think the definition of a man’s man has shifted in recent times to this sort of fratty bro, different from the older version, which was aloof and distant—Gary Cooper or Cary Grant or James Bond. Now it’s a little vulgar, kind of lowbrow, adolescent. I’m not that guy....

Since my parents moved into my great-grandmother’s house, they have spent a significant amount of time renovating and renewing the fab 1920s space. One of the best parts of the process was finding all the little things that were left behind. Great Grandma was a fashion-forward lady, and she left some lovely little gifts behind for us girls. Picture is: One of Great Grandma’s...

Lately I’ve been craving real chai. I like the Starbucks stuff most days, but nothing beats a true side-of-the-road chai. I studied in India during undergrad and I drank this stuff in 114 degree heat. All day. That good. I brought back packages of amazing masala mixes but for the life of me couldn’t figure out how to recreate it. Until now. 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup lowfat milk (...

This week was a week. But it’s shaping up to be a very nice weekend. Say Yes to the Dress is on This came in the mail (already)! I’m off to the Big Apple tomorrow with my lovely sisters and getting lost in The Met all day on Sunday.  I’m uploading pictures from my 365 project and reading some amazing new books. I’m finally out of the too-high heels and into something...
