I made it…
I touched down in London town from Iceland yesterday.
To say this summer sped past is an absolute understatement. In the past two months…
- I packed up all my things for the second time in 12 months and moved across the country and then overseas
- I cared for my lovely Mimi in the panhandle of Florida for four weeks
- I flew up to DC to train my replacement and finish work, and then extended the trip when my replacement quit after 7 days (lol, no one wants this job)
- I saw dear friends and dealt with some capital “S” Stuff
- I went to the ER twice for a gross flu and then severe asthma attack. Because everyone wants to spend their final work days suffocating in phlegm in a dark hotel room alone. Too much? Sorry…
- I took a lot of meds and got mostly better
- I said goodbye to my job and friends, again, immediately took a cab to the airport after my last day of work and boarded a 757 to Iceland
- I spent six completely awesome days in Iceland - my first solo big girl trip
Sprinkle in here issues with international luggage shipping and loan approvals and visa applications. I am exhausted, and yet recharged. And very, very happy to be sharing a room with a sister and not with five strangers in a stuffy hostel bunk…
Nice to be back…
